Founding Trustee

Peter Mott is a retired Internet entrepreneur, experienced radio engineer, private maritime coast station operator (ZMH292), amateur radio operator (ZL3PWM) and lives in Christchurch, New Zealand.

He has 8 years experience as a volunteer assisting recreational vessels conducting ocean passages, including multiple solo circumnavigators totalling dozens of vessels each year.

Peter holds New Zealand Boat Master and Coastal Skipper Certifications, and has sea time on both coastal and ocean passages conducted on his own vessels.

About

The HF Radio Charitable Trust is a New Zealand registered charity with registration number #CC59159. The trust is also a New Zealand Inland Revenue Department (IRD) Donee Organisation. Individuals are able to claim tax credits for their donations.

Everyone involved with the operation of the Trust, including the Founding Trustee are volunteers, freely giving their time and expertise without expectation of financial reward.

Donations are used to fund operating costs directly related to delivering services. Capital expenditure is funded by a combination of interest free loans and grants.
